Pterodactyl Defense: Eastern, Benoni Pteranodon

A unique and aggressive opening that aims to disrupt White's pawn structure and create imbalances on the board.

The opening begins with a fianchetto of the king's bishop, followed by a pawn push to challenge White's center. Black then sacrifices the bishop to double White's pawns and gain control of the c-file. The queen comes out early to pressure White's position, while Black aims to develop the pieces rapidly and create threats against the opponent's king. The resulting positions are dynamic and require both players to navigate carefully to avoid falling into tactical traps. The Pterodactyl Defense can lead to sharp and unbalanced positions, where both sides have chances for an attack.
